This is what we can do for you
Our products and services enable us to always meet our customers’ requirements. We service consumers (2C), for example, with our broad parcels network and E-commerce Services. And business customers (2B) with, amongst others, Pharma & Care and Valid Express. Here’s a selection of options from our portfolio.
Wider range of delivery times
In 2014 we were the first company on the European mainland to start parcel delivery seven days a week. We added evening delivery as an option, as well. In 2015, we started with same-day delivery, a service we will be further expanding. For business customers, we also introduced guaranteed delivery before 10.00 am, 12.00 noon or 5.00 pm.
Options for 2nd delivery attempt
If our first delivery attempt isn’t successful, customers can select from various options online for the second delivery attempt, including a specific day and time window, another address or one of the many PostNL locations. For this, customers can use our improved PostNL app.
ID Check at the door
In 2015, we introduced ID Check at the door: a new service, where our deliverers check the receivers’ ID. This enables us to offer extra assurance for senders and receivers of products such as confidential documents, medication or alcohol ordered online.
Installing and setting up televisions, connecting washing machines, assembling beds: Extra@Home doesn’t just deliver large goods – from fitness equipment to garden furniture – right into your living room of garden, it also offers complete service. In 2015, Extra@Home expanded to Belgium.
Pharma & Care
Pharma & Care offers refrigerated transport for various pharmaceutical sector parties, including pharmacists, hospitals and wholesalers. In 2015, we started expanding this network for further development throughout the Benelux.
Valid Express offers courier and express services, and is specialised in delivering confidential documents and packages. Valid Express’ employees are physically handicapped or have chronic conditions.
To a large extent, Parcels’ ambitions involve growth of markets and our position in those markets. We achieve this by introducing innovative products and services, and meeting customers’ specific needs. For example, we devised a special coolbox that allows us to process and deliver fresh groceries fast and easy, and we have a proposition for delivering flowers straight from the source.
We also work on improving our service levels, improving the flexibility of our networks, and thus giving them more control over their deliveries. In 2015, we launched a pilot giving SMEs the possibility to drop off their parcels at a later time, to be delivered the next day. Another goal is to enable consumers to plan our first delivery attempt themselves. We want to combine our different networks and services – like our main parcels network, Extra@Home and E-commerce Services’ fulfilment – so we can offer the best logistic solutions for our customers.
