On the 1st of January 2012 we’ll be launching Bulk Mail redefined, making things a whole lot easier for you. The key improvements:
- Clearly defined size categories
- Wider choice in delivery time
- Easier to compile and hand over your mail

| We listen to our customers; in most cases you use standard-sized paper and envelopes, so Bulk Mail redefined has been designed to suit your needs. |
Our categories
From the 1st of January 2012 you can choose from four categories for your domestic and international mail:
- Mixed (maximum: standard letterbox size)
- Small (maximum: C5 format)
- Large (maximum: C4 format)
- Special (maximum: standard letterbox size)
Packets (international mail)
For your international mail there is an additional product: Packets, for all items that cannot fit through a standard letterbox.

Wider choice in delivery time
You can decide how fast we deliver your bulk mail. Does it need to be there tomorrow? Or is in a few days’ time early enough? You choose, we deliver. Just like you're used to. |
Domestic bulk mail
You can choose from three delivery time for your domestic mail:
- 24 hour
- Basic 48 hour
- Basic 72 hour

From the 1st of January 2012 you can send all your bulk mail using Basic, generating even more savings. This will be possible from 250 items onwards and for Mixed consignments from €15. We deliver Basic on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.
You don’t have to wait until January to use Basic; currently you can already send your consignments of 5,000 items or more using Basic (with the exception of Postage Paid Mixed). So why not take advantage right away!
International bulk mail
Your international mail will be delivered speedily and with the utmost care through our Priority service:
- Mixed: all consigments
- Small/Large/Special: 100 items*
- Packets: from 5 items
* To save even more you can send your Direct Mail (Small/Large/Special from 500 items) using our attractive Standard rate.

Save more with Basic
With the current 48-hour service you already have the option of sending your domestic bulk mail at attractive rates. You will still be able to do so in the future by using Basic 48 hour with delivery on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. And with the new Basic 72 hour you can save an additional 5%. |
- Delivery: Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday
- Handover: two workdays (Basic 48 hour) or three workdays (Basic 72 hour) before the day of delivery
- Minimum order amount for Mixed: €15
- Minimum quantity for Small/Large/Special: 250 items
Save even more

PLEASE NOTE
Our current 48-hour service with delivery on Wednesday and Friday will no longer be available from the 1st of January 2012. If you still want your mail to be delivered on a Wednesday or Friday you can always choose the 24-hour service.

Easier to compile and hand over your mail
We have greatly reduced the number of product codes and simplified the weight categories and minimum quantities while making them more consistent. And that makes things a whole lot easier for you. |
New product codes
Below you will find the new product codes as from the 1st of January 2012. Please note that from that date you will no longer be able to use the product codes in effect in 2011.

* Contract products
** Basic 48 hour (regular or DM) and Basic 72 hour (regular or DM) use the same product code. The delivery speed is automatically determinde on the basis of the day on which the consigment is handed over.
Examples
Example 1
You want to send 2,650 important invoices which have to be delivered tomorrow. The items have the same lay out, are all the same size (C5 format) and each one weighs 18 grams.
You choose:
1) size Small
2) delivery speed 24 hour
3) product code 2822
On handover the correct rate will be determined based on the weight of the items and size of the consignment.

Example 2
You want to send 4,870 items of Direct Mail for the lowest possible price. The items have the same lay out, are all the same size (A4 format) and each one weighs 24 grams.
You choose:
1) size Large
2) delivery speed Basic DM 72 hour
3) product code 2843
The correct rate will be determined based on the weight of the items, the size of the consignment and the handover day.

Example 3
You want to send 266 mail items that have been handed over to your
mailroom in the course of the day. You want them delivered tomorrow. They are envelopes with different lay out, size and weight.
You choose:
1) size Mixed
2) delivery speed 24 hour
3) product code 2821
On handover the correct rate will be determined based on the number of items and the total weight of the consignment

What else will change?
Alongside these improvements we have also made a few minor changes, including more logical discounts. |
General changes
In redesigning our product range we have dropped some products and combined others:
- 24-hour service: under Bulk Mail new style, Letters and Direct Mail have been combined as one product
Regional mail: we will no longer be offering Regional Letters 24 hour and Regional Direct Mail 24 hour. Instead, you can now use 24 hour Mixed Regional Mail or Basic 48 hour or 72 hour.
Discounts
Annual volume discount (JVK)*
The amount of this discount depends on the quantity of bulk domestic letterbox mail you send in a year. All your mail counts! This not only means your domestic bulk mail (including regional mail) but also your business reply volumes. And if you have a franking machine this mail qualifies too. The JVK discount replaces the revenue related discount over your annual domestic revenue.Place discount
You receive a 1% discount when you hand over your consignment at one of our six sorting centres for letter mail. The place discount replaces the time/place discount.KIX discount**
You will continue to receive a 0.5% discount if you use our KIX code.Volume discount
The volume discount per consignment is no longer determined separately for each consignment: it is now automatically included in the rates.
The annual volume discount (JVK)* also applies on the quantity of your international bulk letterbox mail; as with domestic bulk mail the volume discount per consignment is included in the rates
* The JVK discount for domestic mail applies to an annual volume of at least 25,000 items, or at least 2,500 franking machine items in a year.
The JVK discount for international mail applies to an annual volume of at least 10,000 items.
** Place discount and KIX discount apply to an annual volume of at least 50,000 domestic bulk mail items.
