Sending letters and cards

International mail can also simply be deposited into a postbox, as long as it does not weigh more than 2 kg. If it does weigh more you can select EU-Pack Special (EPS) or Global Pack. If the item is too large to be deposited into a postbox, this should be mailed as an International Parcel Basic item.

How do you send a letter or card?

Priority
Priority assures you a fast delivery time for your international letterbox mail. Affix a Priority sticker to the item or use Priority stamps.

Please note that goods being sent to a destination outside the EU require a customs declaration form (CN22).

Sizes and weight

• Minimum size: 14 x 9 cm
• Maximum size: 38 x 26.5 x 3.2 cm
• Maximum weight: 2 kg
• Postcards sent without an envelope must be flat and sufficiently sturdy, rectangular and no larger than 23.5 x 16.2 cm.
