First children stamps handed over to Wim Pijbes

Den Haag, 4 november 2014 - Today the proceeds of the Children's Welfare Stamp campaign 2014 was announced during the annual meeting of the foundation. The children have established the amazing result of 9.1 million Euros with their efforts this year. The money will be donated to give vulnerable children a chance at a better future. The Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands and PostNL launched the Children’s Welfare Stamp in cooperation with the Rijksmuseum this year. Today Barry Husman from PostNL presented the first stamps to Wim Pijbes from the Rijksmuseum.

"PostNL gladly contributes to the society of tomorrow. We therefore focus on children. They are the future. Together with the Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands we have created five beautiful stamps within the theme ‘Let children learn’. These stamps showcase artworks from the Rijksmuseum with focus on children."
