PostNL delivers propositions via message in a bottle

Resultaat Kids Climate Conference 2014: 12 stellingen voor een beter leefklimaat

The Hague, 22 September - The first message in a bottle with twelve propositions resulting from the Kids Climate Conference was presented to the King’s Commissioner of Flevoland, Mr Leen Verbeek, by participants Rivka and Ischa today. As partner in the junior climate summit, PostNL will deliver the sustainable recommendations a message in a bottle to all the King’s Commissioners.

The Kids Climate Conference took place in the weekend of 19 to 21 September 2014. The theme this year was: ‘Care for water’. Organisations such as Center Parcs and the World Wide Fund for Nature joined forces three years ago to establish this climate summit for Dutch and Belgian children aged 8 to 14 years. It is a unique way to raise children’s awareness of nature, now and in the future.

Naud Frese from PostNL explained: “PostNL contributes to the world around us in the areas in which we are operational. We reduce CO2 emissions and play a prominent role in using new forms of transport and delivery that contribute to improvements in safety and environment. We are also partner of the Kids Climate Conference because we consider it important that children understand early on how we can ensure a cleaner future.”
