Follow the Tour de France route on new Tour stamps

The Hague, 3 July 2015 – The start of the Tour de France in the Netherlands will be featured on new stamps as of 4 July 2015. On 4 and 5 July, the Tour peloton will cycle from Utrecht through Rotterdam to Deltapark Neeltje Jans in Zeeland.

PostNL is issuing the Tour de France mail set specially for the start of the Tour. The set contains a stamp sheet with three new stamps and three matching postcards. The set features the route of the first two stages of the world’s largest bicycle race. The stamps and cards feature the ‘Grand Départ’ at the St. Martin's Cathedral Tower (The Dom) in Utrecht, the intermediate sprint at the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam and the finish over the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier towards Deltapark Neeltje Jans. 

Availability 

The Tour de France mail set will be available in a limited run of only 2,000 pieces online at postnl.nl/tour. The stamps are marked ‘Nederland 1’, the denomination for items up to 20g in weight destined for mail within the Netherlands. The stamps are valid for an unlimited period.
