There is a tremendous increase in internet purchasing. In the first three quarters of 2014 online orders grew to € 9.81 billion. Consumers order products throughout the day and want to have these delivered as soon as possible, often within 24 hours. At most of the big webshops that’s already possible. But a 2014 survey conducted by PostNL showed that smaller webshops would also like to be able to achieve this. Extending the parcel presentation time is a way of meeting this need.
