Children’s Welfare Stamps raise 9.5 million for vulnerable children

Opbrengst Kinderpostzegelactie

The Hague, 3 November 2015 – Over 180,000 ten to twelve-year-old school children collectively raised €9.5 million for the 2015 Children’s Welfare Stamp campaign. With the funds, the Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands will be able to offer vulnerable children a better future. Today Ludo Voorn, Managing Director of Marketing at PostNL, presented the first Children’s Welfare Stamp to Ilja van Haaren, Managing Director of the Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands.

Students will be delivering the ordered Children’s Welfare Stamps to people’s homes starting on 4 November. This year’s Children’s Welfare Stamps feature six illustrations from the Little Golden Books, the popular series of read-aloud and picture books.

Ludo Voorn on the Children’s Welfare Stamps: “We support the Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands’ initiative every year to give vulnerable children a better and brighter future. This year, the Children’s Welfare Stamp design also symbolises a safe home for every child. It’s a nice sentiment that one can think of when using these stamps to send a letter or card.”
