Fiep Westendorp illustrations for Children's Welfare Stamps

PostNL started issuing the famous Children's Welfare Stamps in 1924 to raise funds for projects that focus on children’s welfare. The sheet with six Children's Welfare Stamps features a big double-decker this year with festive illustrations by illustrator Fiep Westendorp. Inside the Fiep Bus, you can see Jip and Janneke celebrating with their dog Takkie and cat Siepie, Otje and her father Tos and the characters from Pluk van de Petteflet. All these characters are now featured in a very recognisable way in stamp size.
