Check your import files

View the step-by-step card and the import template to check whether there are possible errors in your file that need to be adjusted.

On August 24 we indicated that a problem may arise when pre-alerting via an import file in the parcels & freight module. In some cases, shipping labels can be created, but the shipments remain under the status 'prepared' instead of 'pre-alerted, which means that they cannot be processed properly later in the process. We are busy correcting this, so that the shipments can still be processed at the sorting centers and the shipments are also visible via track & trace. The error often arises because certain fields in the import file are filled in incorrectly or not at all.

This also applies if you have created your own import definition to import shipments. Please note! That you must always fill in the customs data completely this is mandatory for non EU shipments. We will start validating again on September 6 as we already did. This means that if there is an error in the import file, you will receive an error message for that shipment as usual that indicates what has not been filled correctly. The error will then first have to be adjusted for these shipments before a shipping label can be printed and the shipment(s) are pre-alerted. The easiest way to do this is to adjust the import file and only import the incorrect shipments again.
