Children’s Welfare Stamps 2012

The Hague – Today Arno van Bijnen, Commercial Director at PostNL, presented the first copy of the Children’s Welfare Stamps 2012 stamp sheetlet to Ilja van Haaren, director of the Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands.

This year’s proceeds of Children’s Welfare Stamps amounted to € 11.6 million. The Foundation for Children’s Welfare Stamps Netherlands uses the proceeds to help children from all over the world find a safe home.
 
The three Princesses of Orange are portrayed on this year’s Children’s Welfare Stamps; the photographs were taken by the Prince of Orange. The stamps were designed by Julius Vermeulen, visual communications consultant at PostNL, whose responsibilities include the design of the Dutch stamps.
 
As from 7 November, the children will set out to deliver the stamp orders.
 
The stamps will be available at a price of €4.50 at the Bruna shops, at Collect Club in Groningen and online via www.collectclub.nl. The stamp sheetlet consists of six different stamps with value indicator 1 for domestic mail and a surcharge of €0.25 per stamp.
