PostNL delivers the real Christmas feeling

The Hague – Today, PostNL presented its December stamps for 2012. These special December or Christmas stamps allow customers to send their Christmas cards at a reduced rate.

PostNL expects to sort and deliver 160 million cards this year. Studies have shown that 90 per cent of the Dutch send Christmas cards, which is 40 cards per household on average. Christmas cards constitute half of all mail sent by consumers every year.

On the busiest days in December in the run up to Christmas, the number of mail items to be processed can double on a single day. Over the last few weeks before Christmas, work at PostNL continues 24/7. This year too, thousands of employees will be doing their utmost to ensure that everyone’s Christmas wishes are processed and delivered in time.
