PostNL’s national Sunday delivery in the Netherlands will be the first on the European continent, making PostNL the first parcel delivery service to deliver parcels to consumers 7 days per week.
This is the 3rd addition to PostNL’s delivery options for webshops in 2014, following the introduction of evening delivery and the possibility for extra early collection of online orders.
Sunday afternoon deliveries to consumers
Coolblue customers can start selecting this service from Monday 25 August. The first parcels will then be delivered by PostNL on Sunday 31 August 2014. Online shoppers can opt for delivery on Sunday afternoons between 12 noon and 6.00 pm. Sunday delivery is a good option for those people who are often not at home during the week and who wish to receive their orders on their free Sundays.
Following on from Coolblue, MyCom, iCentre and Dixons webshops will start using the PostNL service from September. If successful, the service will become available to all webshops at the start of 2015.
