Statement regarding coronavirus

For PostNL, the health and safety of employees, customers and partners is of paramount importance. As such, we are closely monitoring developments regarding the coronavirus, taking precautionary measures as needed, in accordance with general guidelines and instructions from the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and other authorities.

Delivery of mail, parcels and the like is important from a societal point of view. We will therefore continue delivery as long as it is deemed safe, taking care to do so responsibly. According to authorities, the risk of being infected through contact with mail and parcels – or indeed any surface – is very small. To reduce the risk even further, you are advised to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face after handling a parcel. Please refer to the RIVM website for more information. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, taking precautionary measures as needed.

Coronavirus containment

We are taking precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the virus so that our employees can work in a safe environment. Prevention focuses on increased hygiene and personal contact in accordance with RIVM guidelines. Our delivery men and women are careful to avoid physical contact, keeping a distance of 1.5 metres at all times.

Additional preparations

We are preparing for various scenarios so that normal service can continue in the event of elevated risk. Again, the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners is first and foremost on our minds.

More information

We will continue to update this page and inform suppliers, customers and partners of any relevant changes, should the situation demand it.
