Deliveries of post, parcels and other shipments in these difficult times are important for society. We will therefore continue with deliveries as long as it is safe, taking care to do so responsibly. According to the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), there is only a small risk of being infected through contact with surfaces and items such as post and parcels. To reduce the risk even further, their advice is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face after handling parcels. Please refer to the RIVM website for more information.
We are following the guidelines set out by the RIVM and taking precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the virus. We are making sure our employees know what to do to stay healthy and work in a way that is as hygienic as possible. Our delivery workers are careful to avoid physical contact, keeping a distance of 1.5 metres at all times.
During the corona crisis, ordering online is a safe, easy way to get products into your home. The number of parcels and letterbox parcels that we are processing has therefore risen dramatically. The same applies to the amount of post we are processing. For this reason, post and parcels may take longer than usual to be delivered. The same applies to international shipments. Thank you for your understanding.
We can imagine you have questions about your post and parcels. You can keep track of your shipment using Track & Trace and the PostNL app. Sometimes, the delivery time changes. The main reason for this is the sheer amount of post and parcels that we are processing. We ask you only to contact our Customer Service department for urgent issues such as medication, funeral post and urgent shipments. Our Customer Service department sees the same information as the information you see in Track & Trace or the PostNL app. We are doing our best to deliver everything as soon as possible.
