How does it work?
Follow these steps to send your Registered Mail:
- Make sure your item meets the size and weight requirements:
Max. size: 38 x 26.5 x 3.2 cm
Min. size: 14 x 9 cm
Max. weight: 2 kg - Make sure that your item is addressed correctly
To ensure speedy delivery, the receiver’s address should be clearly written on the envelope. Be sure to write a return address on the back of the envelope. This way we can return any undeliverable items to you.
More addressing tips - Add postage
Frank your item using our special Service stamps. These are available at your local post office. Please note that you cannot use regular stamps to frank your item. - Post your item at one of the 2,600 post offices
What does it cost?
Registered Mail is available from just 8.45 euros.
Delivery of your mail
Registered Mail is usually delivered within 24 hours of posting (Monday through Friday). Mail posted on Saturday is delivered on Monday.
You can check the delivery status of your mail at any time using our online tracking service.
If something goes wrong
We take the utmost care to ensure that your mail is delivered in perfect condition. Occasionally, however, items may be lost or damaged in transit. In the event of loss or damage, we kindly ask you to contact our customer service. Depending on the outcome of our investigation and item value, we will award compensation up to 50 euros.
Please note that in order to qualify for compensation, you will be required to show proof of posting.
