Wat ga je doen?

As Functional Service Owner (FSO) you are responsible for a (group of) critical IT applications used in our international logistical processes. You are able to share knowledge about the applications and to link the applications to the business processes. You also will be the first point of contact for the end-user regarding complicated questions/request about the functions and possibilities of these applications. The focus of this job is ensuring continuity of these applications, maintaining them and also ensuring that they are used both effectively and efficiently by proactively providing advice. 

 

In this job you are part of an enthusiastic team in the Business IT department of Cross Border Solutions, the business unit of PostNL that provides international delivery solutions to businesses over 190 countries with 13 offices worldwide and circa 1,200 employees. You will help us in realizing our ambition to create easy to use and easy to maintain applications to facilitate users (colleagues and customers) in their primary processes.

 

 

Responsibilities include: 
Recognizing and solving IT issues/ incidents in the application and analyzing data are one of your most important responsibilities. You also gather opportunities, bottlenecks and improvements, think along with colleagues about possible IT solutions and offer support with regards to configuring, acceptance testing, implementing and communicating the new releases of your applications. 

 

For your applications you make sure that you are in control of identity and access management, planning and executing configurations and also provide support and training to end users and help them to use these applications more effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, you are involved in various improvement projects by being part of multidisciplinary agile (IT, Spring or Supply chain) team where your role is translating the needs of key users into functional requirements and run activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internationally oriented work experience is preferred;
  • Proven affinity with IT (development and/or maintenance), data and logistical processes;
  • Excellent English and preferably also Dutch written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong listening and analytical skills whilst remaining solution driven;
  • Collaborator with the drive to excel and take enjoyment in your work;
  • Available for fulltime (37 hours per week) and willing to work “out of hours” duty on rotation during festive end of year peak periods (SKNJ).
