Wat ga je doen?

As Functional Service Owner (FSO) you are functionally responsible for a (group of) critical IT applications used in our international customer and logistical processes. It is a dynamic role in which you have a lot of autonomy. It is your job to signal risks and solve and coordinate IT incidents. You are in contact with end-users and help them with their questions and requests for new functions and possibilities in the application. Sharing your knowledge with stakeholders and configuring the application (based on development needs) ensures that the applications are used both effectively and efficiently. In this job you are part of an enthusiastic team in the Business IT department of Cross Border Solutions (CBS). CBS is the business unit of PostNL that provides international delivery solutions to businesses over 190 countries with 13 offices worldwide and circa 1,200 employees. Responsibilities include: 
The focus of this job is ensuring continuity of your application(s) by maintaining and configuring them and by proactively giving advice. Recognizing and solving IT issues/ incidents in the application is one of your most important responsibilities, for example with the use of data analysis. You also gather opportunities, bottlenecks and improvements, think along with colleagues about possible IT solutions and offer support with regards to configuring, user acceptance testing, implementing and communicating the new releases of your applications and answering user questions.


For your applications you make sure that you are in control of identity and access management, planning and executing configurations and also provide support and training to end users and help them to use these applications more effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, you are involved in various improvement projects by being part of a multidisciplinary (IT, Spring and Supply chain) agile team where your role is translating the needs of key users into functional requirements and run activities.

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Internationally oriented work experience is preferred;
•    Proven affinity with IT (development and/or maintenance), data and logistical processes;
•    Excellent English and (highly preferred) also Dutch written and verbal communication skills;
•    Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands;
•    Strong listening and analytical skills whilst remaining solution driven;
•    Collaborator with the drive to excel and take enjoyment in your work!
•    Available fulltime (37 hours per week) and willing to work “out of hours” duty on rotation during festive end of year peak periods (SKNJ).

•    A gross salary indication between € 3.544,- and max. € 4.884,- based on 37 hours a week (level 10 of the PostNL Collective Labor Agreement);
