What is this job about?
PostNL is moving fast to become a tech-driven postal company in which data is a key factor for success. This includes speeding up the development of a data foundation which is responsible for unlocking data so it becomes a strategic asset. Further shaping of the data foundation is determined by looking at the structural data requirements within the BU’s of PostNL and the realizing of the BI & Analytics target architecture. We also want to improve some fundamental aspects (e.g. data governance, quality, lineage) to ensure we achieve the full potential.
You have active contact with the relevant parties in the business, to further develop the Data & Analytics platform platform. You represent the platform and know how to enthuse the relevant business owners about the developments. This ensures that the backlog filled by you gets the right priority. In addition, you have a fresh new and innovative ideas and can think outside the box to inspire the business to apply new technologies (AWS native).

As a Platform owner Data & Analytics you have a clear vision on the role of an enterprise datalake, data integration and transformation capabilities within a corporate environment. You have the end responsibility for several (agile) teams who are working with this tech stack. The data & analytics platform is one of the most important platforms within the PostNL Data foundation and enabling for our digital transformation. 
You will do this with a DevOps team consisting of data engineers, solution architects/consultants and a Scrum Master. By setting the right priorities, you bring your vision to the platform and act as an interlocutor in substantive discussions. You can find your way in a stakeholder environment with many different stakeholders, suppliers and interested parties. 

Responsibilities include:  
•    Manage a data and analytics platform;
•    Form and coach a solid devops team;
•    Enlarge the data driven organization;
•    Develop a vision on the role of a datalake/hub and translate this vision to executable plans;
•    Make roadmap for future development;
•    Having a leading role realizing our target architecture for BI and Analytics;
•    Streamline the delivery of information management solutions to fulfill increasing data requirements from our business stakeholders.

What we are looking for?
•    Academic degree (WO/University);
•    Knowledge of Datalakes and data integration and transformation technologies, preferable AWS native;
•    Knowledge and experience in de field of data engineering;
•    Knowledge of the development and maintenance of data  (CI/CD) pipelines underlying a companies data products and services;
•    Experience in leading a Devops team
•    Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
•    Familiarity with Agile/SAFe;
•    Curiosity to learn and develop yourself, you learn every day and are happy to transfer your knowledge;
•    Currently resident in the Netherlands near The Hague and in possession of the necessary work permits; 
•    Dutch language (at least B1 level) or commitment to learn.

•    Competitive salary based on experience and the talent you bring to the table, between € 5.059,- and max € 7.532,- (salary scale 13) based on 37 hours per week and in accordance with the PostNL Collective Labor Agreement; 
•    Fulltime position 37 hours with view to permanent contract;  
•    Annual 8% holiday pay and 25 vacation days by fulltime contract;
