Wat ga je doen?

You will be responsible for one of the logistics platforms within the E-commerce Operations business area. It is the place where the differentiating features of business operations enter the IT. The success of your team therefore largely determines the success of the business unit. We expect you to be the link between IT and the business (cooperation) and to manage the quality of the platform in cooperation with the lead engineer.

 

Your role consists of:

  • bearing ultimate responsibility for both the 'human' (hr) aspect and the budget; 
  • communicating a vision of logistics planning throughout the PostNL organization; 
  • drafting and coordinating the roadmap;
  • prioritizing the backlog in consultation with the team and with an eye on business requirements.

PostNL is increasingly evolving into a technology organization and have chosen to insource a large part of our   software development in our PostNL Cloud. Increasingly, PostNL's competitive ability is linked 1-to-1 with the software we develop and deploy in our primary process. In addition to physical logistics solutions, we are increasingly developing smart software solutions.

 

Our strategy is about moving from a logistics people company supported by software, to a software company where smart logistics solutions are is developed.
 

  • Relevant experience with change processes in the field of technology optimization;
  • You are conceptually very strong. You are able to provide input to the vision for future developments; 
  • You are strong in stakeholder management at all layers of the organization;
  • Responsible for backlog prioritization;
  • You are decisive;
  • You are problem-oriented and want to solve problems in complex environments; 
  • You have experience with software development and can unlock the opportunities it offers the business;
  • You have experience with Agile working, the SAFe framework, and experience with cloud native development (AWS);


You are an energetic motivator and have a can-do mentality. You know how to excite stakeholders about the developments of the platform and how to share your vision. You have a fresh view and stimulate the team to “think outside the box”.
