What is still allowed?
Only gifts up to a maximum of US$ 100 (approximately € 80) and documents may still be sent. For these parcels, you will need additional information:
- a clear description of the contents and value
- a 10-digit HS code
- the country where the product originates (where it was manufactured or assembled)
What is a gift?
A gift is something you give to someone without receiving money in return. For example, you can buy a book and send it yourself. However, you cannot have an order from a webshop delivered to the US. This is because US customs will consider it a purchase.
What is an HS code?
An HS code is a 10-digit customs code that indicates the type of product you are sending. Customs uses this code to determine how much import duty you have to pay. You can find the correct code at the customs website.
How do you send a parcel to the US?
