Nobody home? In that case we bring your parcel to a PostNL location nearby. We will of course leave you a card with a 'not at home code'. With this code you can see on track & trace where to pick up your parcel. You can pick it up from 3 pm on the next delivery day (Monday to Saturday).
In some cases, we need to see some identification before you can receive your parcel. This depends on the type of parcel. You can find this information in the track & trace overview. If you want to be sure, it’s always smart to bring some ID. Valid identification is:
We sometimes ask you to sign for your delivery. For example, if the sender asked for a signature on delivery. You can find this information in the track & trace overview.
Sometimes you have to pay upon delivery. For example, when you bought something online with payment upon delivery. Or when your parcel is from outside of The Netherlands. In the track & trace overview you can find how much you have to pay.
Do you want to have your parcel picked up by someone else? This is only possible with the note your deliverer left in your letterbox. The person picking up your parcel must be able to identify themselves. We can also check your address with them, so make sure they know this information.
We will keep your parcel at the PostNL location for one week. After that it is returned to sender.

Sometimes your parcel isn’t at the location your driver indicated. Our apologies, mistakes happen. Please find the location in your track & trace overview.
