Staying in constant conversation
At PostNL we don’t just have close relations with our customers and our people but with a large network of other key stakeholders. These include contractors, suppliers, municipalities, shareholders, NGOs and industry associations – all key to helping flesh out our long-term value strategy.
For years, we’ve been in daily contact with our stakeholders about our policies, insight differences and similarities, collaboration and shared interests. Stakeholder engagement takes different shapes.
- Every year, we host a formal dialogue with our stakeholders about a whole array of social topics. These discussions provide valuable input on our stakeholders’ insights, priorities and expectations, helping us decide what topics we need to focus on and how to make a positive difference. And by extension, of course, how to enhance our policies.
- In the next step, we get our stakeholders involved in improvements we’re making in terms of sustainability and in other areas – making our joint action topical, meaningful and relevant.
PostNL considers all discussion topics with stakeholders relevant. For the Annual Report we focus our disclosures on those topics deemed most material. To identify what is most material, we first carry out a materiality analysis to prioritise the topics we have identified, and then present them in a materiality matrix.View the materiality matrix in our annual report
